MAESTRALE
Grapes: Barbera d'Alba
Production area: in the nearby of Alba
Colour: ruby
Bouquet: typical and winey
Taste: full-bodied with a bitterish aftertaste
Minimum alcoholic content: 11,5% vol.
Serving temperature: 18-20 °C.
Best with: excellent with game and white meats
Information: this wine is obtained from "Barbera d'Alba D.O.C."-grapes after a one month long ageing in little oak barrels, called "barriques", which give a slightly vanillas aroma to Barbera.

BAROLO
Grapes: Nebbiolo
Production area: it is produced in the province of Cuneo in a precise area, which includes the villages of Barolo, Serralunga d'Alba, La Morra, Grinzane Cavour and parts of some neigbbouring communes.
Colour: ruby red with orange hues
Bouquet: typical and intense with scent of violets
Taste: dry and velvety
Minimum alcoholic content: 13% vol.
Serving temperature: 18-20 °C
Uncork the bottle at least an hour before drinking
Best with: red meats, perfect with game. lt is especially fine with certain typical dishes of Langhe, such as "brasato al barolo" and "lepre al civet" (braised beef and hare cooked in wine).
Excellent with matured cheeses or between meals.
Information: it is undoubtedly the most prestigious Italian wine, and milestone in the Piedmontese and Langa tradition. At least three years ageing in oak or chestnut barrels.

"FOSCO" DOLCETTO DI DIANO D'ALBA
Grapes: Dolcetto
Production area: in the nearby of the town of Alba
Colour: ruby
Bouquet: winey, persistent and fruity
Taste: full-bodied, dry and slightly bitterish
Minimum alcoholic content: 12% vol.
Serving temperature: 18-20 °C.
Best with: good with both white and red meats, pasta, in particular filled pasta, and also with cheese
Information: this wine is obtained from a careful selection of grapes. The grapes ripen thanks to the sun and to a short pruning, and are softly pressed in the cellar.
A traditional method of fermentation gives the wine a unique bouquet and taste, while nature and time-passing, without man intervention, complete this fantastic work.
Some remains of vinification, which you may find at the bottom of the bottles, prove that this is a high-quality product.
